Park posts new music, album details

Park have announced some details about their upcoming album, Building a Better _________, which was previously announced as Building a Better Pirate. The record is due out July 25th, 2006 and will be released on Lobster Records. It is also the first since 2003's It Won't Snow Where You're Going.

The band has posted "Who is Aliandra?" on their purevolume page.

i hate the new song. i hope the rest of the album is better than this. sounds almost too new found gloryish.

that chorus comes out of nowhere (in a very good way) and the variation in the rhythym during the last chorus leaves a very strong last impression of the song. i hope this band finally catches on with this release - and as long as they get on some good tours this time around, there's really no reason why park shouldn't.

they play it at all sorts of sports stuff. they do it at Met games and people chant 'JOSE' instead for Reyes.

This album is fan-fucking-tastic. There are so many great songs on this. And since they got rid of the bass player who screamed on "It Won't Snow...," it has a much more cohesive feeling.

The bass player that they had on that album (Gabe) left the band before that album even came out, the band is still pretty great but has never been as good as they were when Gabe was in the band.

Yes, I know that. The screaming is gone though and he was responsible for it. I think that the new album has a lot more variety than previous releases; it's easily as good, if not better.

it amazes me that this band is not so much bigger. they have that "emo" tag on them....but their overall lyrics are fucking amazing.

p.s. i just saw running scared and it is a badass fuckin movie

goddamn park is so good. i love this band. check out the video and instrumental on buildingabetterpark.com -- i hope that song remains instrumental and isn't just lyric-less. marvelous.

gabe was really good in the band. but the screams had to go. they grew on me because i let them, but now they sound as foreign as ever, as much as i love that cd.

There were like 2 screams on that whole record, how can anyone say they affected anything?

I hope the music part of this cd sounds like the last one.
