Though the album won't officially be available in stores until October, Rx Bandits have begun taking orders for their long-awaited full length, ...And the Battle Begun. The album is due out through frontman Matt Embree's MDB Records. That information can be found here.
The band has also relaunched their official website to reflect the new album, and has launched a new blog Mash Down Babylon (67 comments)

This is just going to become a thread for people to talk about the new album since it leaked. I still haven't listened, though.

Their song on Rock Against Bush was really good, it was almost as good as Unity, or that None More Black song that schooled ass. Oh yeah, and is the new none more black any good? 3+ Replies

So for review-writing purposes, since the official release date isn't until October, does this mean that if I write and submit a review that the earliest it would be posted is October?

The album is really amazing... They've really made their own sounds. The musicianship of these guys is mind blowing, after giving the cd an honest listen... that is seriously hard to argue, even if its not your thing (meaning anyof the "this band sux" is coming from some immature middle school student or someone who doesnt know much about music). a lot more prog elements in it which I enjoy, but its not the least bit pretentious. The songs fucking groove so much and man does this band have soul...at the same time, they can seriously rock your face off better than most bands (see them live!). This isnt a ska band trying to put different styles in their music... its something else entirley and wow... I'm very impressed. Great things coming from this band!

I still say most of the people who say they suck have only heard "Analog Boy" and "Overcome."

I'm very stoked about this record, very epic. Lyrically, I love this stuff. Embree's writing gets better and better, such an awesome message and the vocals are, as someone else said, very soulful. Musically... well they've managed to amaze me even more. Their technicalty is just... wow, drums guitars bass and I THINK some keys all recorded live. This bands sound remains somewhere in the same area as the resignation, but the songs are for the most part much more complex. I love how they use the keyboard in this band, and man... the use of the horns is beautiful, so unique. Anyway... like the guy above me said, not a band you can judge by just one of those songs. You want to hear some amazing music... pick up this record and trust me, check em out live, theyre touring now and their live show is worth it.
