Media: Capital posts more new tracks

Long Island's Capital (featuring ex-Silent Majority vocalist Tommy Corrigan) have released two new songs from their upcoming album. "Snake in Disguise" and "Early Nineties" are both available for streaming from their label's myspace page.

The tracks come from the band's 9-song Signal Corps which is due out on July 25th, 2006 via Iron Pier.

I know the band basically recorded this for nothing and that the artwork/layout isn't mind-blowingly beautiful (not that I'd like it to be, I'm fine as is), and that there isn't really any full touring planned to support it, but I'm still in shock the band will be selling this for THREE DOLLARS at their shows. Not $8. Not $5. $3 for a 9-song, 20+ minute full-length. It's not even like it's a CD-R release or anything.

Really, a totally front-to-back solid punk/hardcore album for that price is grand larceny.

The album itself isn't quite as great as I thought it'd be, but I've also seen just about every song on it played live a few times each. Still, a definite top 20 contender.

So happy to have this CD in my hands.... It's all about Goth N Roll.. that song is the litmus test. Either you get it or you don't, and if you don't, it's a shame...
