Damage Case to release "Tyranny" on August 29th

Punkcore has set an August 29, 2006 release date for the upcoming album from Dallas, Texas' Damage Case. The band is described as "the raw energy of early melodic punk rock with the intensity of a more modern hardcore sound."

The band will be releasing Tyranny and supporting the album with an upcoming fall tour. This summer, the band will join Rancid for a gig in Texas.

A new track "No Leaders" can be streamed from their label.

I really liked this label a few years ago, but for some reason their recent signings just havent been that good. I liked Damage Case on the Punx Unite 3 comp, but I dont think I will be picking up this album.

in other news for this label, the warning called it quits last week after a show with total chaos.

Did they really? Damn, and their CD/ LP hasnt even been out two months. I wasnt interested in that band, but that sucks for Punkcore having spent the time signing them and producing the album.

it seems to happen a lot. i remember it happening with cadillac blindside right after their masterpiece second album came out. i guess with the warning the drummer said that he couldn't get the other guys motivated enough to bother playing a last show even so they just made that show last week the last one

In addition to this album being a scorching street punk/metal sledgehammer...
the cover art is amazing and was done by the guy famous for Motorhead covers!!
For sure a must have and they put on a great live show too.
For those not in the loop this band is pretty much a retooled Spasm 151...one of the best punk band outta Texas ever!! So yeah they rool.
