Further inspection of my CD collection has caused me to remember that the new Public Enemy, T-Kash and astronautilis albums also dropped this year, thus pushing Dr. Octagon off the list!!

i saw them with braid a couple years ago. then i realized they remind me a lot of braid. not a bad thing but weird when they are playing back to back

i don't see the braid comparison at all.

ELYSIUM! out of the fierce parade as a second. new one is disapointing at best.

Out of the Fierce Parade is their most traditional album.
Elysium is very dense and not very fun to listen to unless you listen to the full album, which can be tiring.
+-= is probably the second best listen. It's a compilation of poppy songs from early in their career.

i disagree, i feel like i can pull out individual songs, listen to them along and love them on their own merits. i feel it's a wonderful and fun to listen to piece of work on all levels.

'fierce parade' is def. the best. elysium is good, but yeah, it gets tiring.

and gyzmkid off the new record is so fun it should be illegal.

honestly, i gave both albums a real chance. i actually enjoyed some of 'Delousing...' but the last one was just brutal to get through.

i see the Bandits as being a lot more 'upbeat', though that's really not the right word. it just sucks me in and the Volta can't do that.

i hope there is. if not i would still drive to grand rapids for this show it should be a good one.

if you do work for alt press. you should try to keep all of the lame ass bands out of there and focus on bands with actual artistic merit, like minus the bear. i'm not talking a single page or a paragraph. the magazine is turning into toilet paper, b/c i'm going to start wiping my ass with it.

Pretty sure we've covered Minus The Bear extensively before. I seem to recall a four-page feature when their record came out last year.
