Monty Are I post full album stream of "Wall of People"

Rhode Island's Monty Are I have posted a full album stream of their debut for Stolen Transmission Records. The album is titled Wall of People and is due out August 1st, 2006.

These guys were a ska band a few years ago...now they are playing the same shit as everyone else...sellouts.

if by a few years ago you mean at least 5 years ago and only for one recording, then yeah.

but since then they have had 2 eps (one only had one extra song) with this sound
another ep with this sound
and now a full length with this sound

i dont think you can call them sellouts, since they changed their style way before label interest for no money, and lets face it, their ska album was kind of generic as an album, maybe you dont like the "new" sound wich is more than half a decade old, but i cant see how anyone would want another repeat of their first album (which is ok, but other bands do the skapunk better)

these guys are alright. i like where the horns kick in. i think its kinda funny that they release teir album on the last day of their tour with RX bandits. are they doing more after this tour?

i'm sure they are. they have pretty much been nonstop touring for years now.

i think they actually have the album on alot of these tour dates, aug 1st is the in store date

Gotta say I'm a big ska-punk and I'd never even heard of them until I saw them on the Ernie Ball stage last year. Who'd a thought? It's weird considering I'm not usually into the nu-rock sound of their newer stuff but I must admit I like 'em alot.

What I want to know is why'd they go from "Monty" to "Monty Are I". Not that either name was spectacular but the new name is just weird...

legal reasons. there is another monty or something like that, and i guess they didnt want to go back to montys fan club since they sound different now (although, that fan club thing is ust my speculation)
