Versoma, who were once known by the more offensive moniker, Matamoros, have had a major lineup. The band has announced the departure of drummer Greg Drudy (also of Hot Cross and Level Plane) and bassist Brad Wallace.
The band quickly filled the positions with the addition of Robin Fowler (of Sino Basila) on drums and Tom Clavin (of Anodyne, Disnihil) on bass. The band includes members of Anodyne, Lickgoldensky and Orchid and takes influence from Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine, Born Against, Unwound and Neurosis. Robotic Empire (5 comments)

I kind of sympathise to the members who kind of want to shake the label of being a former member of a good band and want to make something different. On another note, greg drudy isn't a good drummer anyway. 1+ Reply

tom clavin wasn't a member of anodyne, he roadie/merched for them on tour. He is, however, a sick singer, and sicker guitarist. | Features

The bands that they are from are more exciting than the bands they are trying to sound like.
