Media: Sound Scene Revolution talks to A Wilhelm Scream

Sound Scene Revolution sat down with A Wilhelm Scream at their recent show at the Catalyst in Santa Cruz, California. The kids talked with Dante3000 about the rotating cast of bassists the band has had along with being rock-ignized at Best Buy. This episode also features Punknews.org's furriest editor as a guest again.

The podcast is also running a contest with the band where the winner gets a cooling coozy for the can of your choice along with a copy of their debut, The Benefits of Thinking Out Loud.

Uh, Benefits of Thinking Out Loud was originally released as a Smackin' Isaiah album in a dvd style case.

666 is one of the great lost gems of this band. Nothing I'd really want to hear played live, but definitely worth re-releasing for the sake of really kickass rarities.

Technically, Benefits was their debut as AWS because everything before that was Smackin Isaiah.

Yeah, but as they had sold out of those two albums we took whatever they were willing to hand out.
Sound Guy Nariman and I both got shirts...Mine has a Whale picture so it spells out
"A Whale-helm Scream" it's awesome.

1) Dexter and his ownership of Anarchy Airlines
2) The fact that Nuno wants to "Plug" Brian...as in "to have anal sex with".

In reference to the 10 or so people who posted after my first comment regarding their debut:

If you want to get techncial and go by band name then their first release as AWS was Mute Print. Benefits was later RE-RELEASED under AWS as opposed to the ORIGINAL PRESSING (in a DVD case) under SI.

I'll say it again: Don't ingore the past.

And there is no distinction between SI material and AWS material. Its the same band. Same songs. Different name.

Also, if people are into checking out older stuff from this band the We Know Sexy EP (which followed Benefits under the SI title) kicks ass.

mute print is their first cd ever and all this other talk of eps and smakin isaiah shit is just bullshit! this band formed after 2000 when the porteguese lead singer realized that his job at a burrito joint wasn't too lucrative. so he started a touring punk band. what an idiot
