Strung Out 10th anniversary release show

In honor of the release of Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues 10 years ago, Strung Out will be playing the record in its entirety a show at The Canyon Club in Agora Hills, CA on September 16th. Supporting them for the show will be the Adolescents and American Eyes.

Last month the band cleared up rumors that they had broken up.

It;s only been like a year and a half since they're played florida, that's not really tht long in touring band standards.

Not completely sure, I really want to go, but I also have alot of work due the week after fest weekend if I can get my work done, I'll be festing and I can give rides to whomever needs one, otherwise I'll have to stay here and do fucking schoolwork and study!

theyve been around more than 10 years...this is just 10 years for that CD...and yeah they are an awesome live band, unfortunalety i was hoping for more from another day in paradise since its one of my favorite cds

ive seen them twice
once at peabodys in 02, the other at warped...so i guess its only really one and a half haha. strung out was my main jam all through middle school

ive only been to two shows there. millencolin when i was 13 and strung out when i was 15. i had a good time, but maybe its just cause i was so young

They used to be excellent live - I saw them with Deisel Boy. Then I saw them around the time they released that god awful EP. It was about trying to metal and the result was not good.

They're still tight as hell live, and "that ep" happens to be some of their best, most creative work. Why can't anybody let bands progress?

My friend's brother tried driving us to the house they played in MN on this tour in 96.

Got lost.

No Show.

Still sucks. Dude became a raging speed freak, went to rehab in Montana, broke out, stole a car, drove to North Dakota, got arrested, joined the army, and tried making me pay him rent for using his drumset in his basement a few times.

I blame this on not making the show.

Oh my fucking god why the fuck don't I live in California RIGHT FUCKING NOW. Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues is in the top 5 (maybe even top 2) of my favorite records of all time. Fucking shit. This needs to be documented.

Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues is by far Strung Out's best album. The drumming on the album is just sick.

I caught them when "Another Day In Paradise" came out, and I thought they were great. I saw them again a couple years ago in Chicago and they were really good. Jordan had a broken foot and still shredded the drums. Strung Out definitely isn't *as good* live as they are on album, but they still put on a rocking show.

Does anyone care about this band anymore? I saw them last year and like 10 people were moshing... (including me) Only 10 fucking people in the entire city of vancouver. I love this band though, their best work is obviously the Element EP, despite the soft spot many have for their skate-punk/early work.

Ahh shit!! I love this album....classic mid 90's punk, takes me the fuck back every time I listen to it. Haven't seen this band in 3 or 4 years. Gave up a little on them after Element of Sonic Defiance, but having said that, I bought two tickets within two minutes of reading this story. Fuck yeah, where the fuck is Agoura Hills?!
