Most likely because the band is popular and the fans of the band (here, at least) are aware of the homophobia and see past it. Most people at PN dig Bad Brains because they play awesome punk rock, not because HR is homophobic, so it's not really promoting that aspect of them. On the other hand, all that comment offered was racism, it's not like there was other merits to it, and as Adam (I believe) posted in that thread, it's the rights of the guys to delete comments that don't follow how they want the site portrayed. There's more to BB than homophobia, essentially.

Because the comment made was BLATANTLY racist, as in the only point of it was to say something very tasteless in an attempt to offend people.

Bad Brains may have/had some questionable opionions, but the basis of their band was not to blantantly offend. Plenty of artists have said/done some messed up things, but I think we can all agree that the Bad Brains are, and always will be, a rather critical piece of hardcore.

I completely agree. and i think it's fantastic that you deleted that comment. I've always thought people on this site gave that band WAY too much of a free pass just because they liked their music. I've commented on their homophobia more than once in the past, and nobody has ever given me cause to re-think my opinion in the least bit. you did just that. thanks.

the female body is a thing of beauty, a thing of mystery, a complicated work of art, if you will. when two females combine their bodies they create something intensely beautiful and erotic. the male body is different. its not complicated, and its not beautiful. lesbian sex and gay male sex are two completely different things.

i see the point you're trying to make about some of my sexual experiences being viewed as disgusting to some people and i'm fine with that. i can't change somebody's inherent feelings about something and i wouldn't hold it against them. just so long as they don't apply those feelings for my actions to me as an individual.
