Daniel O'Day (River City Rebels) artwork revealed

Springman Records has revealed the artwork for Daniel O'Day's upcoming solo record Street Performance. The record is to be released October 10th.

O'Day goes by the alias "the Bopper" in the River City Rebels.

i fuckin love everything River City Rebels have done, and they've been getting more eclectic, so this should be good. can we hope for a RCR release on Springman?

They are on Rolling Thunder Records now. It is a new label, and they haven't put anything out yet. It sucks, because even if the album ever does surface, it will probably be ignored.

Anyways, the new RCR songs are amazing. You all have something to look forward to. And I am definitely gonna pick this up when it comes out.

yeah, they have WAY better bands to worry about (hawthorne heights, aiden).... and even though the darkest hour album was amazing, they went just a tad overboard on the promotion

I like that Avi is aware that the River City Rebels release will probably be controversial but I mean it's his label and if he likes em that's all that matters.
My label only releases classy shit, like Rick Springfield covers.

personally i don't understand what the controversy is. Playin' to Live, Livin' to Play and Racism, Religion, and War are two albums that literally never get old. i don't have their last one, but the new demos on their myspace are fucking ace, especially Icons and Rosaries.

this guy has to be one of the biggest peices of shit i've ever met. rode the straight edge bullshit for a while, rode the ska/punk bullshit for a while all to become a drunk glam rocker. what a fuckface. For a glorified body building self righteous gnome, has a big fucking mouth. this fucker will do (and has done) anything for a buck. shame i once liked his band.

well, i've never heard any of that stuff, but is it really important? river city rebels make fuckin good music, and i've heard other people say they are nice guys. don't know about this guy, but usually the frontman has to represent the band for the most part.

They're actually all nice guys. I would like to point out that Dan, regardless of the slight musical changes that the rebels have gone over the years, Dan never "rode" the straight edge scene, he has dressed EXACTLY the same, and never did the ska/punk thing. The band has always had horns, but NEVER played ska. So you should probably shut your mouth. Deal? Deal.

Victory never "dropped" the rebels. they have been trying to get off that label since their first record came out. they were stuck with victory for like a million albums, and they finished out their contract.

Wrong.

They had a 5 album contract. They dropped them after 4. The Rebels did want out for a while, though. Too bad they got jumped in Chicago when they made it official. Victory could quite possible be the worst label in music, but you all already knew that.

has anyone ever seen this douche on youtube.com playing his solo stuff out in front of starbucks? what a dork. also hes wearing a shirt from fullbreach77.com as well - last chicago show i seen of the river city rebels in chicago. they got their ass kicked by some kids that were wearing full breach 77 shirts too. "bopper" was yelling "call the police. call the police. the punks are attacking"
