Bomb the Music Industry's “To Leave or Die in Long Island” to get the vinyl treatment

Digital-DIY pioneers Bomb the Music Industry! will be releasing the previously "digital only" album To Leave or Die in Long Island in record format via Asbestos Records. There will be 3 variants on traditional colored vinyl, and a limited picture disc The records will begin shipping mid November for $10 each, on a first come/first serve basis, pressed on color and picture disc. (the band would like us to note that the album can still be downloaded for free by going to their website).

Now you can finally own this previously “digital only” album on a wonderful analog wax disc. There will be 3 variants on taditional colored vinyl(mail order only splattered vinyl, as well as 2 and three color versions), and a picture disc (limited to 100 copies!!!) The records will begin shipping mid November, but reserve your copies now so you don’t miss out. Copies will be $10 each, and first come/first serve on the rarest color and pic disc. (and don’t worry about BTMI! Selling out or anything like that.. this album is still available for **absolutely free** download on www.bombthemusicindustry.com , a lot of people prefer actual records

i don't have a paypal account, so i hope the mail i sent on tuesday arrives in time and i get that goddamn picture disc.

i also made sure that rosenstock clarified what label this would be coming out on when i interviewed him on my show this summer. y'hear that flood? free advertising. and on college radio no less. you can't beat that.

Digital-DIY pioneers? hardly. there have been many artists/bands to do this before them...sorry they weren't big enough and/or good enough for you guys.

and they hhhaaaddddd to make sure people still knew it was avaiable for free online, right? just so they don't lose any street credit when they finally went back on their word? good.

They/He are putting it out on vinyl because fans wanted it. Jeff Rosenstock Inc. are not going to be sleeping on a bed of money any time soon because of a limited edition pressing of an EP.

I think it is rad! that it is being released on vinyl to support Nuci Space in Athens, GA. They provide free to cheap mental health care, checkups, and other nice stuff to musicians and artists in Athens.

i think its fair to assume everyone who is buying this record has had it in mp3 form for over a year already. Be happy that theres an original sounding band doing something worthwild getting hype. Plus mp3's pale in comparison to being able to hold a physical record / cd.

Why was Goodbye Cool World never reviewed on this site? It was more of a grower than TLODILA, but it's certainly his finest work to date.

Well... that might not be true, as I wrote a fucking brilliant review for Hilary Duff's Most Wanted, but the editors never posted it, because they are cowards and conformists.

That said, Goodbye Cool World is a pretty interesting record and I would have written a review back in June had I had a better experience with the editors posting my reviews.

I was definitely thinking about going.

They'd be the main draw for me, though AAA and Mustard Plug could be fun (I used to listen to both of them like 7 or 8 years ago), too.
