Greg Hetson's guitar is stolen in Saskatoon

Greg Hetson, of the Circle Jerks, Bad Religion and others, became the most recent victim of theft during Bad Religion's stop in Saskatoon. Mr.Hetson lost a Red 1964 Gibson S.G.

Greg is asking for anyone with information to get in touch via his myspace page.

That's strange to hear. When I saw the circle jerks/GBH tour he walked by a friend of mine and myself, complemented him on his t-shirt (bad religion) and shook both of our hands. We weren't even going to bother him, but he came up to us.

in a completely non-related piece of news, the first "ghost riding the whip" fatality was reported this past week in saskatoon.

the guy was 36 years old. 36.

I think I'm correct in saying that this was the guitar he ALWAYS played when in Bad Religion. I've seen them every year since 1992 and he has played it every show-probably recorded every BR album with it as well. This is a pretty good piece of history to have. It sucks that it was stolen but on the other hand I would love to have it myself.
And to the guy below-he is not an asshole. He probably gets sick of people asking him the same questions over and over or people not having anything to say at all after they get his attention. I've talked to him briefly a couple of times and he was very cool.

you stupid douche, a new gibson SG < a vintage SG that he recorded and toured for years with. materials, workmanship, and history of that guitar is worth quite a bit of $$. probably worth more than your lame life kook!

I've got enough money for a new guitar too, but if somebody took my 300 dollar baby, they'd still owe me their blood. I love that thing. I don't care how much it's worth. It's my friend.
I'm sure Greg feels the same way. Money isn't the issue, stop being morons.

And lastly, dude is a great guy. Only met him once, but he laughed and gladly signed my burned copy of Process of Belief at a show. If that's not a guy who can take a joke, then I don't know who is.
