Swami to release early cut of upcoming Rocket From The Crypt DVD

Swami Records is releasing a limited edition "Ruff Cut" DVD of the very last Rocket From The Crypt Halloween show. The early release is being done to fill current demand, with a full set scheduled for 2007. The eventual release will feature two discs, one DVD and one audio CD, and may feature different mixes, edits and menus than the "Ruff Cut" as well. The show runs about two hours.

Rocket From The Crypt broke up last year. The band's final show, the one documented on this release, took place on October 31st, 2005 at the Westin Horton Plaza Grand Ballroom in San Diego, CA.

fuck. i hate stuff like this, cause i will probably buy it, and then buy the real one since it will be more complete. oh well, chalk swami up there with all the labels and bands (bomb the music industry) that sold out and care more about money than listeners

This isn't true at all. If you look at the Swami Message Board, John himself states that they're doing this to get something out by halloween this year. I know I've been waiting a year to get my hands on this and I'm glad he's putting out something early instead of waiting 5 more months for the final final copy.

This isn't a run for money, its about getting some video of the show into the hands of those who want it. This isn't selling out at all.

I think they ran their course. That and Vagrant started to get all emo and shit. Along with establishing a roster of course.
