Fat Wreck Chords

Bad Astronaut have posted a new song on their Myspace. The song, "Autocare," will appear on the band's forthcoming album Twelve Small Steps, One Giant Disappointment, which will be released November 14th through Fat. Through a MySpace blog, the band explains the song was mostly written by now deceased drummer Derrick Plourde:

What is exceptional and I think notable about the track is the fact that Derrick composed much of the music and all of the lyrics before his death. I received the words from Derrick..s mom, Trish. It was a particular entry from one of his journals she found. Trish hoped we could find some use for them on our record. I had written lyrics for all but one of the songs and when I received "Auto-care" I knew it was an opportunity to further pay tribute to Derrick and his great potential.
