Tours: Smoke or Fire titles upcoming release, tourdates

Fat Wreck Chords has announced that Smoke or Fire's sophmore Fat Wreck release will be titled This Sinking Ship. The record is due out sometime next year. In the meantime, the band will be touring the east coast and parts of the midwest, in support last year's breakthrough album, Above The City.

I fucking love these guys. They're playing two shows on Sunday here. A free show at Reckless Records, and then across the street at The Note, and even that one's only $6.

I'll be going to, and filming, both.

Can't wait for the new album.

Above the City is completely consistent, rocking and kicks your ass on every song. It get towards the end and gets mellow with one song and then it comes back to kick your ass before it's done!!

the EP had a couple really good songs but the production wasn't great and it didn't kick my ass nearly as much.

the best part about this band is that their vocalist can pull it off live AMAZINGLY.

lots of bands with "unique" singers often sound like shit live.

I saw them on the Avail tour when they were still Jericho and one of the guys in the band complimented me on the AK press hat I was wearing then proceeded to ask me if I liked the explosion, when I replied that I like a song or tow, he proceded to ask me if I wanted to 'blow up the explosion's van" they even promised to bail me out of jail! I'm sure they were joking, but to this day, I still wonder what that was all about!
