Media: The Cassettes album podcast, new website

The Cassettes have launched a new website containing a podcast of their Buddyhead Records debut 'Neath the Pale Moon. The album is scheduled to be released November 14. You can download the podcast here.

I don't understand what the point of making something a podcast is if it's not updated with any frequency or regularity whatsoever. I don't even bother subscribing if it's not at least weekly. Why can't you just put up a mp3 and not have to make it a podcast?
