Early punk designer Natasha, launches online store

Natasha, a prominent punk fashion designer who began her career in 1977 in New York City has launched an online store.

Originally established in a store called "Revenge" in the East Village, Natasha made clothing out of zippers, spandex, leather and vinyl.

Notable figures including Dee Dee Ramone, The Misfits and Debbie Harry (Blondie) were all fans. Natasha also designed Joey Ramones leather jacket and a green leather suit made for Frank Infante of Blondie is now in the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame.

Maybe I'm a little slow...but how is it your anti-fashion when your wearing designer clothes?

OH WAIT, I get it.
They are trying to make it to wear all punx dress alike and we have to wear skin tight leather pants, with zippers everywhere, etc.

Do you not understand the first era of punk? The pistols were formed out of a designer clothes store, loads of punks wore expensive clothes, it was anti-fasion in the way it was ripped and torn and going against what people percieved as nice clothing, but it was still a fashion. This isnt new, punk and fashion have gone hand in hand since the beginning. You say fuck fasion but go to any punk show and all you will see if mohawks and black band t shirts with leather jackets, its still a fashion.

It's not anti-fashion, if you make clothing ripped on purpose, then go and sell it, you are not punk.
