Matthew Pryor and The New Amsterdams plan Terrible Twos debut for January

The limited edition children's record from Matthew Pryor (formerly of The Get Up Kids) with same line-up as The New Amsterdams has found new home and wide release with team of Vagrant's Poquito imprint and Kid Rhino division of Rhino Entertainment. The CD titled "If You Ever See An Owl..." from The Terrible Twos will be available instores and for digital download on January 23, 2007.

Los Angeles artist Travis Millard illustrated the owls and other characters to accompany lyrics to 15 folky pop songs for little people on topics ranging from bugs to brooms, math to mops and more.

The New Ams released Story Like a Scar earlier this year.

I have heard a few songs off of this release, and i must say they are quite entertaining for both adults and children alike. The track "We Can Get Along With Dinosaurs" is my favorite.

They opened for the Weakerthans. There were a handful of kids who showed up to see the New Amsterdams, but they looked like they expected the show to be like the place on the OC. Who wears mandals to a show? And if you went to a show the NA's headlined, I'm sorry. How do you give "Matthew" Pryor a pass? The kid shows up and looks bored in the middle of his own set.

I got this CD at an Amsterdams show about 6 months or so ago. Its actually really cute and funny.

As an aside, all the people calling him a "fag" for doing an album with his children in mind, why do I picture you all looking like the fat make-up wearing guy from Aiden?? Get over yourselves, it's just a bit of fun, and it's intended for pre-schoolers.
