Image Director Julien Temple's "definitive film" about late Clash frontman Joe Strummer has is nearing completion. The Joe Strummer: The Future is Unknown has been edited and is now undergoing grading and sound mixing. The film has been selected for the Sundance Festival in January and will hit UK cinemas next spring.

The Woody Guthrie archives have confirmed that they've released material for use in the project. The folk singer was a huge influence on Strummer, who for a time went by the name Woody Mellor, in honour of Guthrie.

Julien Temple recently released the documentary Glastonbury about the massive yearly festival. His work for the Sex Pistols, including the infamous Great Rock'n'Roll Swindle and The Filth and the Fury remains his most famous.
