As a follow-up to yesterday's story on the dismantling of historic NYC rock club CBGB, we've learned that MTV.com has posted a similar story, more in-depth and including first-hand accounts of the final hours of the legendary rock club, and a full-detail picture slideshow.

if you're not from the metro NY area then all the hoopla doesn't make alot of sense. nonetheless, it's a part of music history that's gone, and that's a shame no matter what style of music you like.
