such a horrible idea to keep the band's name, leave two members out, and then hire 5 new musicians and COMPLETELY change your sound. plus this song still sounds like a four piece. its also shit. 3+ Replies

terrible. i actually liked "so long astoria", and loved everything else they released. but this sounds like a HIM song.

Whoa. That is different. It does actually sound like Swervedriver, Doves, etc. Not bad at all though.

I like this song. Much better than the songs on the leaked album a few months ago ... I guess the album needed a single.

what the fuck? where's In this Diary and the Boy's of Summer!? hahaha wow they really did completely change their sound. i mean...damn, way to join Mest on the bandwagon for completely changing your sound to try and sound like everybody else that happens to be in the spotlight right now...oh yeah, all of mest's music sucks dick, i'm just using it for a reference. 1+ Reply

While this is far from good, I think its commendable they're trying to do something different.

lostcausegiveup (November 14, 2006)
i actually like this. i'm also a pretty big ataris fan though. i'm glad they're trying something new. astoria was alright, but it sounded to me like they needed to mix things up a bit.

Straight up: This sounds like the new Eighteen Visions single. 1+ Reply

This is clearly a mesh between My Bloody Valentine and The Cure. I don't know where people are getting Alkaline Trio vibes from. From how Kris was describing the new sound the ataris were going for, this single came as a pleasant surprise. Not many bands are doing a style like this, and I hope the album does well.

this sounds new new wavey or something totally not feeling it and I didn't even hate all the demos booooooooo.
JKyle (November 14, 2006)
Hm. This isn't nearly as bad as I expected. It's better than the clips they had posted on there a while ago. It just doesn't sound like Ataris, though. And I'm not sure it sounds like anything I'd want to hear more of.

the chorus is alright. but im a huge fan of this band. in the end i predict this record will sell five copies. one for each mom in the band to make the guys feel better. 1+ Reply
