Red Scare Records to release new album from the Copyrights

Red Scare Records have announced that they'll be releasing the next album from Illinois' the Copyrights. The band will be heading into Atlas Studios (the Falcon, the Lawrence Arms) on January 2nd to record the album, which the label hopes to release by March 27th.

Their last album, Mutiny Pop, came out on Insubordination Records earlier this year.

The band was featured as an Mp3 of the Week earlier this year. You can check out some material from the band here.

Neill and FuckYouOiOiOi are walking to the movies where Neill is meeting Somegirl for their date.

Neill Cawley: "I can't believe I'm actually going through with this."
FuckYouOiOiOi: "Yeah, I wouldn't. If my parents made me go on a date with SomeBITCH (amirite?) I'd be like; 'ay! Fuck you! OI OI OI! I'm gonna go suck a penis just because it's the opposite of what you want me to do. OI!"

I just went back and looked it up. I knew FuckYouOiOiOi wouldn't help me, because he's embarassed of our relationship and wants to look cool and tough in front of you guys. (He's really sweet when you get him alone though.)

Anyway. I have done 5 scenes, and it will be a four act play, but I don't know how many scenes per act. So far I've done Act 1, Scene 1, and Act 3, Scene 4, here: http://www.punknews.org/article/21028

oops hit enter to quickly. i just don't get the whole orgcore thing ya people on here like similar bands isn't that why the site exists. orgcore is just like emo you are calling something by another name because of some stupid description i don't get why people can't just actually say what the band is. O pioneers was called orgcore on a board but i don't see them talked about a whole lot other than that they are good but why lump them into a catagorey with a bunch of different bands because some kids on here like them. i mean doesn't anyone realize that these "org-core" bands are not liked by everyone on here.

That's my point though. Why not just come out and say that? Why does anything that a group of people on this website might like get called "org-core" even if it doesn't sound like every "org-core" band. So it is a bullshit label and "genre" (for lack of a better word) because if you say "oh TLA is org-core" then someone would think that org-core is shit that sound like them when in fact the shit that gets called org-core is a broad range of things a lot which sound different than them. I'm just saying why not just say what they sound like and who you think they sound like or if you like this style you'll like this.

The label was created to release the Falcon EP. And then it started signing awesome bands. This label could be on it's way to become the new Lookout (and let's hope they manage it better than Lookout)

Two totally different bands at different stages of their careers. I love the Menzingers and have done all I can to help them out, but they are 20 years old and cutting their first album while the Copyrights are in their mid-20's and have two albums and several 7"'s under their belts.
