Paramore, Early November, Amber Pacific, Silverstein, Matchbook Romance in anti-suicide PSA

A new PSA featuring members of Paramore, Early November. Amber Pacific, Silverstein, and Matchbook Romance from the 2006 edition of the Take Action! Tour has been made available online. As you may recall, the Take Action! Tour focused on the 1-800-HOPELINE, a service designed to help those at risk of suicide.

It was shot in front of the 9:30 Club in Washington DC earlier this year by Roy LaManna for Rive Video.

i think for most dudes, the attractiveness just comes from the underage factor. if she wasn't "OMG 16," she'd be like a 6 or 7 outta 10 at best. cute, i suppose. but not at all uncommon.

Yes. They're super-subtle, artful, tongue-in-cheek (did I mention ironic) cautionary tales told in reverent tones.

They know the kids who listen to these bands are the most likely to commit suicide, so they figure that they'll listen if they hear warnings from them, I think.

Remember when the Take Action tour had bands with even remotely activist tendecies? Like Anti-flag, Thursday, Common Rider and Cursive? Those were the days.

The inaguaral take action tour featured AAA, Fifteen, Falling Sickness, Pinhead Circus, and Damnation. Bands with actual political messages in their music. But then again, Sub CIty was a political label back then.

Didn't look fully intentional to me.

Also looked like he barely got hit, but he was off-balance and had weight on his week foot, so it levelled him.

And honestly, Ovechkin is a finesse player who usually gets hit cheap and goes down and doesn't get up once or twice a game. He almost never throws serious hits, let alone questionable ones.

He rarely even makes his presence felt. 10 games would be out of line, although I think there is some disciplinary action in order, given he's a young player and you could nip this kind of behavior in the butt right away by showing some punishment to him.

That's crap. Ovechkin swerved to purposely slam his shoulder into Briere. Nothing accidental about it. Though I do agree that Alex isn't a dirty player, and nothing much should come of it.

wow. the predictable and unfunny remarks made here are ALMOST more sad than someone committing suicide. but i guess instead of growing up and realizing it's for a good cause and giving it some credit, there were always be completely grown men who will tear into anything because it's not "punk" enough for them. well done, guys. pat yourselves on the back if you can put down your PBR long enough
