Big D and the Kids Table were the only band I remember being anything to write home about at the last warped i went to ('05, free tickets, quebec city).

I do remember being stoked at finally seeing MXPX like seven years after I put in their record last though.

The Warped Tour is destructive to our culture...just like MySpace and any other "community" exercise where the rules are dictated by some commercial power and not by the artists themselves. That's not to say it can't be exploited in a positive way (see: Treephort), but for the most part it's a vile piece of trash. I know no one cares, but I'd be remiss in not pointing it out.

Much better start than last year. Lets hope it only gets better.

K-Os is lame as hell. He has potential to be pretty good, but just when a song of his is going well it pauses for some softly sung insipid lyrics over acoustic guitar. I suppose his brand of positive-outlook pop-rap will go over well with the Warped Tour crowd, though.

I will definately check him out, but II woulda thought kos would object to playing this type of corporate event.

K-Os played at my school last year.. he left after 5 songs because he was too stoned and didn't know what was happening.

After all of the hype, I listened to some Big D, a couple months back. I don't understand what all the fuss is about. To me, the just sounded ska. Not much different than, in my opinion the much better, Buck-O-Nine. I'm not criticizing anyone's opinion here, and maybe I listened to the wrong songs.
On the subject of shitty emo bands - Kevin should really work on getting the one band that all of them are ripping off. Smashing Pumkins (though not considered emo) are back together and would be a sick addition to this tour. Everytime I hear MCR or FFTL or Escape the Fate, all I can think is that these sound like generic Pumkins lyrics. Corgin and company did all of that "feel sorry for me while I through around a bunch of tortured-animals-metaphores" so much better.

Have you people not caught on yet? Every year Warped announces five or six kickass bands around December getting everyones' hopes up. By the time February and March roll around at least one of those bands has dropped off and all the other bands are shit, but there are always a few suckers out there who go, "I remember thinking this tour was shaping up well back in December. I'll buy a few tickets." Then they go to the tour, have a shitty time, vow never to go again, but then December rolls around and Lyman announces Bad Religion and a couple other decent bands will be on the tour this year, and they, like alzheimers patients, think, "You know, Warped Tour sounds promising this year..."

YES! Does this mean Big D FINALLY gets to play on a good stage?
