Though no official word from the band has come, a recent story from The Mirror is reporting that the Police may reunite this year for a tour to mark their 30th Anniversary.
This would be the first Police tour since the band broke up in Melbourne, Australia in 1984. The band consists of pop-sensation Sting on bass and vocals, Andy Summers on guitar and Stewart Copeland on drums. The article goes on to state that "an official announcement is expected later this month after UK dates are locked in, possibly for May and June." News (84 comments)

There is a total possibility at this point now that stingo has wrecked his career and seems to have no direction..plus I'm sure 25 million more in the old account could feed a lot of starving africans and add to his car collection too. i hope to see stewart playing those songs again. 2+ Replies

Maybe the 50-year-old dude led a sheltered life, but if you wore a Police shirt at a hardcore gig back in the day, you were ASKING to be fucked with. 1+ Reply

Someone (January 3, 2007)
im not a massive police fan, but i cant see any problems in them reuniting, they're all pretty good musicians, and a lot of recent bands have been telling of their influence, so its probably a good thing. 2+ Replies

at least someone DECENT is gonna reunite.
sure beats all the hardcore old timers trying to come back out of the woodwork and get back together with their crappy bands.
