Against Me! reissues "Crime as forgiven by" on vinyl

Sabot Productions have announced that they are re-issueing the 7" version of Against Me!'s first proper release Crimes. The vinyl is on pink or black vinyl is available for pre-order now here.

Against Me! are currently gearing up for their upcoming tour with Riverboat Gamblers and Fake Problems in support of their major label debut, New Wave.

If it wasn't for that last song, I'd say you were right, but I can't stand that sound quality so I'd say Crime is AM!'s best record.

i love The Disco Before The Breakdown. it is probably one of my favorite records ever. but how come when we talk about Against Me!'s best, we never bring up Reinventing Axle Rose? maybe i'm an idiot. but people, at least in my experience, always go to Crimes, and if not that, then Disco.

Capitalism is ideal, in theory. It's just been raped so badly over the past several decades that it's lost its charm. Think about it, how many other economic systems have the same motivational factor? Say what you want, but people are motivated by money. Otherwise, society would deteriorate as the majority lies about waiting for others to take care of them.

Try and find a 45 adapter. They are getting harder to find these days, but I'd imagine they wouldn't be expensive if you did find them, they're nothing more than a little piece of plastic. Shit, you can probably steal one from your local goodwill or whatever if they have record players.

easily AM!'s best release ever, although seeing how they are now, it honestly makes me a bit sad to listen to Crime, or even RAR.

but this was pulled from Plan-It-X once AM! got popular on their own power.
the fact that the re-issue isn't making the kids at PIX money kinda pisses me off, Chris deserves to put this out more than any other label.

Did Chris write the songs? Play the instruments? I thought this was Against Me's music, makes sense that Sabot puts it out to me.

stupid comparison.

Chris put that album out out of pocket before anyone gave two shits about the band, and as the band grew in popularity, that $5 Crime EP opened up a lot of kids to the lesser known (but sometimes vastly better) bands on Plan-It-X. PIX got a huge and well deserved bolster from that release, and to be honest, I don't think AM! would have made it as far as they did without Chris's help. you think it's fair that they use PIX as a boost to where they are now and then turn around and give them a big "fuck you" like that? C'mon.

...what? the only reason they got condemned in the FIRST place was pulling the Crime EP, in essence giving a big "fuck you" to all the kids who very much built them into what they are.

I heard about this a while ago but noone seems to have an answer and the band havn't explained it in any of the interviews I've read.

In what way did PIX condemn them for signing to Fat?

I've heard stories about fans slashing their tyres but I can't believe that would have anything to do with Chris and PIX is basically him.

I bought this shit from Itunes which makes me feel horrible, but it was impulsive and the music had to be heard. that version of i still love you julie is easily one of my favorite songs ever. seein them in a few weeks, and the fact that the little tiny record label icon on the back of the cd changed wont change my opinion of the cd at all. "New Wave" is a horrible album title however, ironic or not.

I thought when they pulled it off PIX that they just wanted it to stop being sold permanently, since it seems to clash so much with how they feel nowadays. Good to know it's at least still being printed.

i wonder if they'll take songs off this one like they did with the rerelease of the cd. seriously, taking "burn" off the cd was a huge mistake. i'm sure they're plenty ashamed of that song, but you can't alter the past.
