Media: The Photo Atlas video on Pure Volume

The Photo Atlas have posted a video online for the song "Handshake Heart Attack". The track comes from the album No, Not Me, Never, which is set to be released via Stolen Transmission/Morning After Records on March 6.

I like these guys, they put on a decent show, but Denver was not and never will be a music city. The saddest thing is seeing the denial all over the place, because they really believe there's something big enough to matter there.

I don't think Denver will ever be like RVA or Gainsville, but the good bands it does have are pretty damn good. I think someone posted on a Denver-related band once about how isolated Denver is, and it's hard to get anything going in a place such as that. But then again isn't the Omaha scene pretty big? Don't know much about the location of Omaha, but it does seem to be in the middle of nowhere-cornsville.

I can't really talk about why Omaha worked, because I've never been there, but I don't think isolation is the problem (although it's certainly a major factor). The problem is that Denver is a large shithole for idiots and tools. There's no interest in forming a large, inclusive community, and too much cookie-cutter garbage is heralded as awesome (Fear Before the Blah Blah Blah). I could go on for years about why Denver is awful, but who gives a shit, I don't live there anymore.
