Dismemberment Plan add second reunion show

After the initial reunion show sold out in seconds, the Dismemberment Plan has announced plans for a second show to benefit Callum Robbins, son of of producer J.Robbins.

According to the Washington Post where frontman Travis Morrison works, the band will add a second show at the Black Cat on April 27, one night earlier.

Formed in 1993, the Dismemberment Plan took a diverse range of influences from Fugazi to Gladys Knight and released a series of acclaimed albums. Their last album, Change was released in 2001.

please don't. the only way the people like me who didn't get a ticket to the saturday show even though we were on ticketmaster at 5 o clock will get tickets to this show is if everyone who was lucky enough to get tickets to the saturday show doesn't also buy tickets to the friday show.

either way i'm still depressed, at both not getting tickets to the saturday show despite my efforts of planning my day around trying to get them, and at the prospect of not getting tickets to the 2nd show.

no, seriously...it sold out in a few seconds. lots of people got shafted by scalpers having their way with ticketmaster's 50 ticket maximum.

ticketmaster seriously has a 50 ticket maximum? thats crazy. in the uk there is an 8 ticket max from all the ticket outlets i have bought from (inc ticketmaster), sometimes less for really popular events. and scalping is still a problem!

letting people buy 50 tickets at once seems to me like they are actively encouraging scalping! maybe its not surprising the that ticketmaster (as far as i remember) proposed to start charging for tickets according to demand - thus cutting out the scalpers by becoming scalpers themselves!

yeah, i got tickets at 5:00 but my friend who was also trying to get them didn't get them at 5:00. there is something that can be done about the maximum if artists want to. when i saw tom waits he had a 2 ticket maximum put on his shows.

the same fucking shit is gonna happen. i'm afraid to try to get tickets to this show cause i don't want to be that pissed off again when i don't get tickets after trying 3 times within the 5 o clock minute

I don't think it was the Plan's call - I've had to go through Ticketmaster for every show that I've gone to at the Black Cat.
