The Arrivals post new songs

The Arrivals have posted some new songs from their upcoming debut for Recess Records. The album is due out "very soon" and is the follow up to Exsenator Orange. In the interim, the band also contributed a track to the OIL: Chicago Punk Refined compilation.

You can check out "Bood Hits The Ground" and "Ballad of Lon Stokes" on their myspace page.

Certainly a contender. Between them and Oblivion, it's a tough call.

God I love Oblivion, I was mainly thinking of bands that still exist, but
Oblivion were so much fun. The reunion show was a blast-I enjoyed their set more so the AHo

They either get a huge crowd or none. The last two times I've seen them it's been to five paying customers on a cold Thursday night and to a packed house on an oppressively freezing Saturday night.

Either way, I can't wait for this thing to finally come out. They've been playing new songs for years now.

I think I've seen the Arrivals around 12 times in the past couple of years, and they always put on an amazingly quality show regardless of crowd size. The fireside shows with about 30 people watching were the best.

Great band, saw them with the soviettes, Grabass were supposed to play that show as welll, the arrivals made up for their abensence, though.

I was gonna say that OIL came out over three years ago, then I remembered that Exonator Orange came out over four years ago and Pangea really was the newest song they released.

The most recent thing the Arrivals did was the song "Failure" for the Fat Wreck "PROTECT" compilation which came out in 2006.

I'd make a great punknews editor...

Anyways, this band is awesome and they should be signed to either Fat Wreck or Red Scare because they're so damn good and deserve to be exposed to more ears.

I've heard the new album . . . it's fucking great. Dave (guitarist) is my bartender, and he claims it'll be out sometime in April. There's other stuff in the works as well, as I understand it. I'm going up to see them tonight at NIU.
