Since no one can stop talking about Pete Wentz - and that includes Pete Wentz- here is the latest popular story about him to hit our submission queue. Apparently, Mr.Wentz has earned a new honor, being dubbed one of People Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People in the World.

The Fall Out Boy bassist joins the ranks of Halle Berry, Jennifer Lopez, Patrick Dempsey, and Matthew McConaughey in People magazine's annual issue. He explained the secret of his beauty:

I get a ton of under-eye circles because I don't sleep. Usually I'll just put on more eye makeup and let it blur in.

It is painfully obvious that news about Pete Wentz isn't posted because of any relation to the musical preferences of the readers and contributors of this site. There is a ton of relevant, mundane band news concerning other groups that does not garner coverage on a regular basis- unlike the abso-fucking-lutely mundane news about Mr. Wentz. This is all about getting a rise out of the punknews.org community.

The fact is if 100 people didn't read, post and continually make remarks about these stories they wouldn't go up. There have been times when these stories haven't been posted and some kid links them in the comments section of another piece of news and then the original piece gets over run by kids talking about Pete Wentz or Radiohead or whatever.
The fact is kids are going to read this and going to need to voice their opinion one way or the other, let them do it under the Pete Wentz story and not under the Bomb The Music Industry! story.

You know you're awesome with people who don't even know you hate you. People hate him and yet, they can't stop talking about him. Call him what you want: fag, gay, bastard, shout out how much you want to murder him...on a fucking forum. At the end of the day, he makes more than all the haters combined.

Personally, I love FOB and their music. It's catchy and even though they do resemble past bands, they have an edge. Patrick didn't want to be the leader of the group...he just wanted to be the lead singer. Somebody had to take his place. Who better than Pete? Besides, it's not his fault people follow him and bother him. The public became interested in him.

It's hilarious reading some the comments up here though. I like Pete, but the comments are funny as fuck.
