The Legacy, Gallows, Against Me! on BBC Punk Rock Show

Our friends at the BBC let us know about the latest episode of the BBC Radio 1 Punk Rock Show. The show airs tonight from 2am to 4am GMT (9pm EST, 6pm PST) tonight and is available for streaming in it's entirety via this link.

The show tonight will feature a live performance from UK-based The Legacy, a much buzzed Epitaph act Gallows will be dropping by for an interview and to act as guest DJs for some of the show. The show is promising new music from Against Me!, Municipal Waste, The Living End, The Unseen, Green Day, The Explosion and tracks from Thrice, Warzone, Tim Barry, Tiger Army, Alexisonfire, Mad Caddies, Sick of it All, Rise Against and many more.

I Spit on Your Grave is a good one. I can't remember if there's a gang rape but I think there is.

I hate rape scenes in movies. The worst is when you're cuddled up with your girlfriend, about to get some nookie and then some fucked up rape scene totally ruins the mood. I hate that!
Death Wish 1 and 2 have really bad gang rape scenes in them. In pt 1 Charles Bronson's daughter and wife are raped by a very young Jeff Goldblume and his posse and in pt his daughter and housekeeper get raped by Laurence Fishburn and his posse. The scenes are worse than clockwork orange. Thankfully we do get to see Bronson kill them all in the end.

the vast majority of this probably wont be new, and its also kinda dissapointing that out of all the bands listed, theres a significant lack of british punk rock.

UK has a shitload of great unsigned bands, I just don't think theres much good punk ones. Gallows are really good though.

I thought they were talking about a tv show, but it's just a radio show lame. A tv show devoted to punk would take some balls. Well, it would if they played real punk anyway and not a bunch of tame Epitaph bullshit.

I thought Against Me were trying to distance themselves from punk, to go beyond the stereotypical punk band description...?

I still like them a lot, but it sucks when bands feel the need to essentially turn their backs on the scene that gave them a good portion of their early careers. They're not the first band to do this and I'm sure they're not the last.

Wait... this is a British show, broadcast by the BBC no less, and yet it's on at some ridiculous hour in the morning when everyone is in bed?

Which just so happens to be a perfectly sane time for an American audience?

At least I can still catch Eastenders at a sensible hour.

You can just get the White People For Peace 7-inch on Itunes.

Both songs... good quality. Whatever. I just bought it, but I'll be picking up the real 7-inch Saturday as well.

I'm not sure how I like that new Tiger Army. I love "Afterworld", but this one bores me a bit. Oh well. The worst song on Ghost Tigers was the single, anyway ("Rose of the Devil's Garden".)
