Less Than Jake plans hometown charity performance in June

Less Than Jake has announced a special hometown performance to benefit a friend whose daughter is undergoing chemotherapy. The event will take place June 8th, 2007 at the Common Grounds in Gainesville, Florida.

Come out and give your support please. Fact is helping out friends and keeping loved ones close, healthy and happy top the the list of important things. See you there.

Goddamn I love the Blue meanies. This letter they wrote to MCA is hilarious:

You might recall that our band, Blue Meanies, released a record on your label last year. That record is called The Post Wave. We thought that you might like to know that on August 7, 2001, we are going to reissue The Post Wave on our once and future home, Chicago's THICK Records.

if i hadn't come across the thick reacords booth at michigan fest, whatever the last years was, i'd doubt the truthfullness of this. seeing as i did and saw the post wave for 5 bucks... yeahci could totally believe thi e-mail is true. and by the way, far and above anything as the best blue meanies album

Less Than Jake are money hungry whores who try so hard to reach that next level of stardom. But you know what? Good for them for helping out a friend in this situation. They are still an embarrassingly bad band, but again, good job.

That is embarrassing, but Less Than Jake is a bad band. Go to their show and what do you see? Little kids running around. After they turn 18, they realize how bad they are and move on to something else. Meanwhile a new crop of 13 year olds learn about this fun band with clowns and confetti and goofy antics.

This is a prime example of why Less Than Jake are cooler, awesomer, realer and better than most bands out there. Hell I don't even really listen to them anymore but Hello Rockview and Losing Streak are two records I could always listen to. 10 years ago Darron helped me and my buddies get into an LTJ show that we won tickets to (but suprisingly the door guy didn't have our names on the list) He did everything he could and eventually got us in. I dunno... they rule is all im trying to say.

LTJ has always put on a good show no matter how many times you see them. They aren't all over TRL trying to get votes for their videos, but they ARE putting on charity shows, which is pretty damn cool. give them a break, and piss off.
