David Bazan, who put his Pedro The Lion moniker to rest late last year has signed to BarsukRecords.
The first release from the new partnership will be a reissue of his debut EP, entitled Fewer Moving Parts. It is due out on May 22nd. The EP features two versions of each of the five songs: one a "stripped down acoustic" version and the other with full-instrumentation, all performed by Bazan himself. It will be followed by a new full length in early 2008. Bazan's final release as Pedro the Lion was 2004's Achilles Heel. Barsuk Records (19 comments)

I don't understand why his solo stuff isn't as good as Pedro, but it really just isn't at all. 1+ Reply
