Maritime writing for new album

Though rumours abound that the band had split up, news has come in that Maritime is still active and is working on the follow up to their acclaimed 2006 album, We, The Vehicles.

Their publicists at Riot Act explained:

Maritime are currently prepping for their follow up to We, The Vehicles [Flameshovel] and we are proud to have them back on the roster-but it's not like they ever really left-the band did however have three babies and a few wedding in the last year, but as their kids learn to crawl the band has diligently been working on new material that promises to be another classic record from these Promise Ring alumni.

talked to Davey about the new record.
it's finished. they played some of the songs last weekend in Waukesha. They're upbeat and catchy!

these "rumors" are bullshit. davey and co have kept everyone posted on their status since they first started. i don't think these rumors even existed at all.

The Falcon is on EA Games' Skate soundtrack. I don't want to see this dethrone Tony Hawk after all the hours I've devoted to mastering it and being able to kick the shit out of anyone, but I have to admit, this soundtrack looks sweet.

hahaha i'll admit i haven't played since THUG and i don't recall the biggest combo i ever got, but i do remember the feeling i got from getting the million-point trick in THPS1 on the first level. amazing!

As much as I like this band, I would like to see the Promise Ring reunite and write an album that is even better than Very Emergancy, considering it is one of the best pop albums of all time. This should be good though.

I might give you "Nothing Feels Good" but it's still not the pop masterpiece that is "Very Emergency."

"Wood/Water" is amazing as well, but it still isn't as excellent as "Very Emergency." "30 Degrees Everywhere" doesn't hold a candle to any of them. "Horse Latitudes" is a better album than "30 Degrees Everywhere."
