There's a new act on Hydra Head and once you fight through the bizarre available info you'll find some familiar faces. Pet Genius is a three piece featuring Cave In's Steve Brodsky (credited as "StoveTop Bredsky"), Johnny Coolbreeze of Clouds, Hydronaut, and the Octave Museum and "JR John Junior " (who we're pretty sure is Cave In's John Robert Conners). They played their first show on June 6th in Somerville, Massachusetts and two songs can be streamed via MySpace. We assume there are plans for a future release, but no further details are available yet.

I dont know why... But this makes me laugh. I really hope it's awesome, it should be as nearly all post-Cave In groups sound great so far.

That new Clouds album "legendary demo" is so fucking good. Definitely one of my favorites to come out so far this year. 2+ Replies

When I was a kid (8 years old), my mother dropped me of at the 7-11 down the street so she could turn a trick for some drug money. While I was in the 7-11 playing Final Fight near the ice cream freezer, an old man named Charles walked up behind me and touched my "winky." Charles was about 45 years old. It was cool. 3+ Replies
