Media: Polar Bear Club: "Our Ballads"

Polar Bear Club has posted a new song entitled "Our Ballads." The song can be found streaming on the band's MySpace page.

It'll appear on the band's first full-length, Sometimes Things Just Disappear, due out in the fall on Red Leader, following up on 2006's zine-acclaimed The Redder, The Better EP (Triple Attack / Luchador).

I love this band. Their ep is awesome. They're live show is awesome. They have meaningful lyrics, great vocals, dynamics, and still orgcore... best small band out right now.

Yeah, I don't think they completely fill those shoes, but it's pretty damn close enough. Also, I think PBC are awesome enough in their own right despite where their influences draw from.

I think going to see them live is the best option, I think the EP *may* be out of print. I believe Red Leader is going to re-release it so it can be available again. From what I understand, the band has the only copies left.

It's funny, I kept hearing stories about people who ordered the EP from Triple Attack and never got it, but I ordered it last year from the label and got it a week later. Weird.

Can't wait to see these guys on 8/11. And the song is good, although not quite as instantly likeable as the middle 3 from the EP.
