Umea, Sweden's (International) Noise Conspiracy recently discussed their upcoming album for a video feature with Rockster.tv. The band recently wrapped up work on the next full-length with famed producer Rick Rubin (Johnny Cash, Slayer, Rage Against the Machine).
In the interview Dennis Lyxzén and Lars Strömberg discuss the lyrics and sound of the album, noting that both are "angry and soulful." Dennis also addresses his election as "Sweden's sexiest man" and their experience with "political" bands on the Warped Tour. You can check out the interview here. (Note that while the site itself is German, the video is in English. ) The band released Armed Love in 2005. The album, also produced by Rubin, had a troubled release in North America as it remained shelved for months due to a distribution-related issues at their U.S. label American Recordings. "Golden Times" from the Lost Patrol Band is one of the most well crafted pop tunes I've ever heard. Seriously, it gets me every time, no matter how far down in the dumps I may be.

I really appreciate TINC's comments about the American "political" bands who criticize Bush, but don't go deep enough with their ideas. The problem in this country is more than a bad administration. Its the social/political/economic system that put Bush in office and it will take much more than a democrat president to save us. 4+ Replies

This band has both terrible music and paper-thin political ideas. All this shit is for aesthetic purpose and nothing else. Dude just throws around slogans and ideas to make himself seem intelligent so gullible fucks can lap up his products and pay for the gas in his tour bus. 3+ Replies
