Manchester Orchestra have announced a headlining tour this fall with support from The Annuals. The band is touring in support of the upcoming major label reissue of their debut, I'm Like a Virgin Losing a Child.

I'm not sure why this band felt comfortable going the "major label" route, I realize they most likely did not get the kind of distribution with their last record which came out on Favorite Gentleman. While they get lumped together with Brand New for some reason (some sonic similiarities, but it appears to end there), I'm not sure they will be able to be as successful as them, even with a major label push.
I posted the following on their recent review and I think it still holds true today, about 2 months ago. ================ Posted by Anonymous on Friday, July 13, 2007 at 12:43 AM (EDT) The cover of this new release reminds me of a photo of my grandmother. On the new Yellowcard release, the singer wrote a song loosely based on his grandfatther's relationship with his grandmother. As the singer came from a broken home, he felt it was show rest of comment
Deadpan (September 2, 2007)
I caught a bit of their set at Reading, but I had to go hand out flyers for Frank Turner and missed most of it, which was a shame, they seemed pretty good. Anyone got any suggestions for me as to what I should check out by them? 2+ Replies

Really digging the Annauls' album. This tour isn't that weird, but these bands seem to come from two different scenes to me..
