After quite a bit of coyness, Streetlight Manifesto has finally given up all the details about their long-awaited new full length. The record is titled Somewhere In The Between and is due out November 13, 2008. It is the follow-up to Keasbey Nights which was released in 2006.

The band has also posted the artwork and track listing. You can click Read More for all of it.

I would say that I'm no longer excited about this due to the sickening amount of delays and whatnot....but I can't help it, I'm giddy. Hopefully a headlining tour will be put together soon.

Also, the artwork is pretty.

i'm so excited for this. Yeah, the wait was long but so was the wait between the original "keasbey nights" and "everything goes numb." i was hoping to hear another reworked botar song, though. i wonder if there's still plans to release another botar album at some point?

I'll be picking up the album on November 13th (or earlier if my local store gets it early: The Tossers' "Agony" was in-store two weeks before release), but this thing should really leak, like, September 8th.... that'd be better.

And even if all the songs are between 4 and 6 minutes long, I still hate having a full-length with less than 12 tracks. I don't have a good reason though.

Needless to say it appears they've managed to create a decent amount of buzz around this album. Can't wait to see these guys play a set longer than 6 songs... looking forward to hearing these new songs live.

Even though it took forever to post the date, atleast it is coming out sooner than we all thought. The way I figured it there would still be another 6 months to wait even when the release date finally was posted.

this band could take a shit in their fans mouths and they would still love em. they're an alright band, i've seen em twice. i always get the impression that thier fans are assholes and that these guys are full of themselves.

I would just like to say that album art usually looks crappy when it's a teeny-tiny picture on a website. Wait until you hold it in your hand, see it all in context, etc.

Ska has had a really powerful year, but I would hardly call it the fourth wave... more coincidence that most of the big names in ska have released albums and across the board they have been really impressive.

IF there was another wave of ska, what do you guys think its influence would be?

For everyone complaining about album art, I think it's supposed to have a deeper meaning than "grandma's wallpaper". It looks like a Heaven and Hell type deal. The top is blue and swirly, for the wind and the sky, the bottom is red, fire and lava. The middle is brown, it's the earth. Appropriately, it is "somewhere in the between" the other two.

Granted, I may be wrong, but my interpretation.
