Pink & Black add bands and win awards

Also, big congrats go out to Fabulous Disaster for walking away with the "Best Punk Band" award from SF Weekly, they will be playing dates for a lucky few with NOFX and Mad Caddies this spring. This is really old news. Pink and Black signed The Flipsides a few months ago. Anyway, the fact that a Fat-owned label is still promoting the signing of a band months after it happened raises an interesting question: WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO FAT? 2001 had to be the most uneventful year in the label's history. Their roster is almost exactly the same as it was five years ago, and they seem to be content with simply putting out the same Strung Out and Good Riddance releases year after year. Fat did sign Dillinger Four, but they still haven't released anything. It seems like they're unwilling to take a chance on unknown bands, and instead only signing bands that have been on other well known labels (Hopeless and Asian Man).

It's old news but it hasn't been posted here yet. I'm glad someone did cuz Pink and Black will hopefully become a great label for girl bands.

This is quite true. I'm starting to lose faith in Fat Mike because of the lack of variety.

oh yeah, i forgot they signed dillinger 4, that was like 5 months ago, i know they got a new record due this year.
