Hopeless plans second hardcore/metal charity compilation

Hopeless/Subcity has announced the second in their series of metal/hardcore compilations. Like the previous compilation, Metal=Life, the disc assembles metal and hardcore artists into a two disc set with 5% of the proceeds going to The Hot Topic Foundation. The Hot Topic Foundation aims to support programs and organizations that specifically focus on encouraging and educating youth in music, creative writing, painting, photography, filmmaking and more.

The disc includes music from Converge, Poison The Well, Chiodos, Saosin, Every Time I Die, HORSE the Band, Gallows, and more. The DVD will includes videos from Chiodos, Boys Night Out, The Chariot, Converge, HORSE the Band and others. It is due out November 20, 2007.

barely any unreleased tracks, and opening tracks on both discs by possibly the shittest band this side of... well, ever!

what happened to compilations like the old punk-o-rama's or even the earlier sub city ones, that often threw up some real amazing lesser known bands and songs?!

Lol. This isn't a charity comp of 5% goes to the charity. I'm thinking a minimum of 40% of the profit would have to go to charity to make this legit.

I know Louis means well, but all these things do is clutter up the comp bins at your local record store. Without a ton of unreleased tracks these things just aren't worth anything.
