Rancid to release “B Sides and C Sides”

The Rancid-affiliated online store, Machete, has announced the release of a new rarities compilation. The record is titled B Sides and C Sides and is due out December 11, 2007.

The disc clocks in at 21 tracks.

it's in reverse chronological, isn't it? i dont follow rancid b-sides heavily, but i know that wanna riot is really old, brothels and tattoo are middle, and killing zone (god i hate that song) is newer.

I'm totally looking forward to this- "The Brothels" is one of the funniest songs they've written & I'm stoked it's getting a wider release. So to speak.

Yeah that one riff is similar though not exact. But you're right in that it is a classic Jamaican dancehall "riddim," called Sleng Teng. Bob Marley had nothing to do with it, though.

First time I've been excited about Rancid in quite awhile. Things to Come, Stop, and The Brothels are all among their first tier songs in my opinion.

I find it a little odd that it's coming out in 5 days and there hasn't been anything about it up til now (at least not that I've seen). I only know a couple of the tracks, but the ones I do are pretty good (The Brothels from the first Give "Em the Boot and that song from Beavis and Butthead) but are from 9 or 10 years ago and before Life Won't Wait. Does anyone know anything else about this release?

It's just odd that there hasn't been much about it leading up to the release, nor is there a lot of information about where and when the tracks come from, etc. as opposed to a B Sides release by Alkaline Trio or the Bosstones.

i was just listening to 'em yesterday and looked 'em up on wikipedia and checked out their website. wikipedia said that they're slooowly working on a new album with guest spots by Elvis Costello, Bouncing Souls, and others. their website said they're playing a california show w/ the bouncing souls but i didn't look to see how old that news entry was...

Things to Come is reggae to the max and one of my favorite Rancid songs. Stop is also reggae/ska. Both are from the Life Wont Wait era. Not sure about the others.

all of this stuff is already on some pretty popular bootlegs that are floating around....they are called Avenue's and Alleyways, and Dead Bodies..you can find them as a two disc set in most people's shares on some p2p programs..I don't have the Clockwork Orange song though...Just A Feeling freakin rips

"Stranded" and "Dead and Gone" are two of the best fucking songs Rancid has ever written and I can't BELIEVE that they were bumped off of Indestructible. They really could have helped that album. I cannot wait for this shit. Will it be released on Rancid Records, Hellcat or Warner?
