Tours: Converge / The Red Chord / Ghenghis Tron with Baroness, Coliseum

Converge have announced their first tour in some time, in continued support of their latest album, No Heroes. The band will be supported on the run by The Red Chord who are supporting Prey for Eyes and Genghis Tron who will be releasing their Relapse debut, Board Up the House on February 19, 2008. Baroness will also appear for the majority of the tour (3/30-4/20), with Coliseum taking their place the last four dates.

I found out about this last night and I am so thrilled that they didn't ignore Minneapolis. I saw Converge at the Triple Rock in '04 with Cave In, fucking intense.

mannnn, it's going to be unreal. mainly cause verge's head lining so the set list is most likely going to be ridic. i can not wait. who's down for both chicago shows? also, i'm really pumped to see baroness and genghis tron as well.

of course it should also be pointed out that their set is going to be "ridic" which i can only assume means that vin diesel will be playing banjo... (so stoked brah)

i think they are alright, im definitely pumped to see them live. if you like slower spacer metal, then you might love them.

Dude, totally. I'm like, what is the point of seeing a band go out on stage and go nuts if you can't be in the corner, drinking a shitty beer and hoping some kid doesn't slam into you and cause you to spill it...

i like to enjoy myself, and if a few cold ones help to do the trick, then okay. usually it is the only way i can deal with people at shows. i like going to see bands, i hate the kids.

Kind of a bummer that Seattle is getting the shaft on this, but it makes sense because Converge is playing with Neurosis next month.
