Richmond, VA's The Riot Before are preparing to spend the rest of the winter on the road. The band, who recently released a split 7" with Broadway Calls as well as the EP So Long, The Lighthouse, added
Right now it feels like we have been sitting at home for a long time, and we feel a little bit lazy, but in just two weeks we go back into high gear. February 6th we leave on a tour of the South, hitting Texas and Florida. We are going to meet up with plenty of friends, old and new, and have multiple dates planned with Worn in Red, O Pioneers!, Jaguar Shark, imadethismistake, Dirty Money, Rowdy Towdy, and Revolution Radio. Then, in March and April, we are going to work on writing and pre-production for a new full length. We are planning on a few shows during that time, including a weekend with Dirty Tactics. We will road test the new material when we go out again in May, with Dirty Money. The tentative routing for that trip has us heading up to New England and out to Chicago. As soon as we get home from our trip north, we are going to record the new album and prepare for its release. Finally, in August, we are going to leave on a full US tour that should last through October, with the album coming out sometime during that tour on Say-10 (www.say-10.com). When we get home from seeing the country it will be the holiday season again. For us the Holidays means being lazy, spending time with friends and family, and making lots of plans for the next year.

I wish they would come back to mass. They played at my college twice (I think a student here or a guy who graduated from here owns a record label they work with), and they were fucking awesome. I love this band live.
Yeah, that's right! I've got one of their pins. Last time they came was the best show I've ever seen at Hampshire. Death is Not Glamorous and Broadway Calls came with them, and B.C did a Kid Dynamite cover and I was the only one who knew what was up. It was a good evening.
That's awesome. I had no idea. I mean, I knew Hampshire had FOTW connections, but I thought it was run somewhere else. If you guys ever need a hand, I'd be glad to help.
Every time I see an update from a band about this length, I assume it's a "we're not popular so we're not playing anymore" post ala June. Holy shit, does June suck. I've never heard these guys, but I bet they're better than June.
On a serious note, go see these guys. Go see them, go buy their stuff, go sing along at the top of your lungs, go dance until your legs give out, go do all those things that you'll be totally embarrassed about later. These guys are great live, and (from what I've seen) great guys in general. I can't say they'll be totally popular one day, but they will be missed one day(as they can't play music forever). Take advantage while you can.
