Four Year Strong signs to Decaydance

Worcester, MA based pop-punk / hardcore combo Four Year Strong have signed to Decaydance Records. In celebration of the signing the band is offering up their 2007 full length Rise or Die Trying as a free download in 128 kbps. You can grab the full length over at FriendsOrEnemies.com.

you are right on that one.....and as one of the people in that community....but since I am young I am called a cub.....have a crush on Dan the lead singer.....it just funny to see people talking about the bear community on a punk rock site.....wether it be to be mean or not .....I knew people know about it just not of the younger generation

First of all, the world needs to stop referring to this genre as 'hardcore'. (history lesson kids: 'hardcore' was a genre of punk in the 1980's) Everytime I hear of a 'hardcore' band I get a little excited, only to realize its the current generation of sissy/emo rock.

they were never hardcore in the first place. they're a pop band and they belong on a pop label like this one. but i doubt this will make them any better.

Dude, I'm totally fine if that's your sexual preference. Just don't mask it as a band so that you and your man lovers can tour around in a van with each other 24/7 having hot man love on tap all day, while your only form of "work" is one hour on stage playing "music" it's clear you never practiced.

Being gay is fine, but I won't let you use it as an excuse for bad music.

If you do not know the songs "Go Long Dad" or "Live From The Crime Scene" and are talking how this band jumped on the Set Your Goals band wagon .....you need to get your facts straight this band has been around flonger than Set Your Goals......they are getting what is coming to them for years and that is too explode and get on all of the high school kids IPODS!!!

actually you are the first person to bring up the SYG comparison in this thread.

furthermore, i actually listened to this album for the first time the other night, and i dont think they are THAT similar to SYG. they are much much more generaic in what they do, both in terms of their 'pop' and their 'core'

OH sorry I was actually reading the review from a few months ago www.punknews.org/review/6887 that was on this site and the guy was talking about it.......and a few people on other sites have been talking about the comparison.....I hate SYG but I love Four Year Strong and have loved them since 2003......so I just excited and I do not want people to think they just became a band and are going to get big overnight ala panic at the disco or cute is what we aim for........

yeah, this band isn't bad at all. i think they could do with out their keyboardist and those breakdowns, but damn, the two guitarists do have talent. and as cheesy as some of you might think the lyrics are, it still works. a lot of pop punk bands these days are forgettable, but these guys aren't...
