Rhino to re-release early Replacements material

Rhino Records will be releasing some early Replacements material from the band's indie days. Their first three full-lengths - Sorry Ma, Forgot to Take Out the Trash, Hootenanny and Let it Be - will all be released in remixed and remastered editions. Their Stink EP is also set to be included in the re-releases,

having heard Ginger's (wildhearts frontman) cover of "answering machine" i've decided i'll be getting this soon.

this re-release shit pisses me off though, it always seems to happen that i put off buying an album for ages, then buy it, only to find a week or two later that it's being re-released. it happened with the bad religion re-releases, and now it's happened with the replacements - i bought "sorry ma..." the other week!

Jeez alex101 you left out a lot of crucial elements of this story. Like 1. All discs will have bonus tracks and 2. They're doing the Sire years next.

Yes! The drunk years are their best years! Seeing them live when they were soooo fucking blitzed was an incredible event! I'm glad these are seeing the light of day since these releases all but died once Twin/Tone did that deal with Restless.

i only just got into the replacements after reading micheal azzerads's 'our band could be your life' so its pretty cool that they're realeasing this stuff.

This is great news. More people need to understand the greatness of the 'Mats, and these albums are the best proof of that. I'll definitely be buying them.
