Ben Weasel announces Chicago show in May

Ben Weasel has announced a rare live appearance in support of his acclaimed 2007 solo album, These Ones Are Bitter. The gig will feature Shot Baker, The Leftovers and The Guts.

Along with his solo material, Ben is promising a selection of tracks from his extensive catalogue with Screeching Weasel and The Riverdales.

Get your tickets now if you want one, I think it's really close to being sold out.

Also there's a Queers show the day before this show at Reggies.

yeah fuck...i knew about this show since it was announced on Tuesday but i didn't get my ticket yet. Now they are only available at the door. Anyone have an extra one who wouldn't mind selling it to me?

I'll be at the Queers. For anyone in Chicago, you might be able to get one by actually going to Record Breakers upstairs from reggie's but I would call first.

Damn, my brother lives in Chicago, lucky bastard. I can't believe I missed seeing The Queers in Waco last year. I hope they come to Texas again soon..

Well, I live in College Station, TX which has next to nothing related to punk or ska. I mean, the only show I've been to semi-recently was seeing Against All Authority, Streetlight Manifesto, and Reel Big Fish in Houston July 2007.

It just sucks how how only shitty bands like Yellowcard and Nickelback will come to my town. The Queers kick ass though, definitely one of the greatest punk bands of all time in my opinion. Right now though, I'd really like to see Dear Landlord and/or Teenage Rehab, such awesome bands..

Yeah, Texas doesn't get as many shows as it used too. I remember in highschool going to at least two good punk shows a month for like an entire year (I lived near the Dallas area).

I remember seeing the Queers a few times in that era now that I think about it. They always put on a good show.

Yeah, I love their live albums, still haven't listened to Suck This though, supposed to be pretty good though. Kind of wish I lived in Houston sometimes, Dallas sounds pretty badass though for punk shows.
