Los Angeles, California's The Funeral Pyre have posted a new track from their upcoming record, Wounds, due out on May 27 through Prosthetic Records. You can check out their MySpace page to listen to the song "Black Earth."

Wounds is the follow up to The Nature of Betrayal, released in 2006 and re-released in early 2007 through a distribution deal with Creator Destructor Records. On April 18, the band will be a part of Los Angeles' Murderfest featuring Converge, Baroness, The Red Chord, and Genghis Tron.
