Cave In plans rarities compilation

While members of Cave In are busy with various projects including frontman Steve Brodsky's Octave Museum, Pet Genius and his own solo work, Guitarist Adam McGrath's Clouds, and bassist Caleb Scofield with Zozobra, Old Man Gloom and Heatseeker, the band is still planning another compilation release on Hydrahead.

According to reports, "Brodsky just delivered a whopping four discs worth of Cave In rarities to Hydrahead -- supposedly to be whittled down for a future release"

Cave In released Perfect Pitch Black in 2005.

i was really hoping that cave in was going to be the "surprise" band at the piebald third-to-last show in new york, but they weren't.

Who opened up in NYC? Boston got Clouds on the second to last night, so it was the next best thing. It actually made it feel more like the "last" last show because I don't think the band that opened for Piebald at the actual last show had any strong ties to the band over the years.

Clouds are incredible, by the way.

yeah, it was clouds in NY too. they were really good, but i couldn't help but hope that half way through the other 3/4s of cave in would come out, if just because they've been so close with piebald over the years.

who opened the last last show?

Octive Museum is done I think. It also doesn't mention original drummer JR in Doomriders and new drummer Ben in Converge. They really have to be one of the best collections of bands/side projects out there.

This is rad and everything, but I really wish they would end the hiatus and go on tour. Last time I saw them was in 2004 with Converge.
